Personal injury and wrongful death law covers any wrong, harm, injury or damage caused by one person or entity to another person, whether it is to their body, property, reputation, or rights. Injuries or death can happen while in a collision with a motor vehicle, such as an ATV, boat, Jet-ski, automobile, motorcycle, truck, or as a result of a faulty product or a faulty repair, because you slipped and fell on pavement or a wet floor, or because you tripped due to a property or construction defect. It can also be caused by the negligence of a professional such as a doctor, lawyer, or accountant. The injury can be physical, financial, or psychological, but, to have a case, it must occur due to the negligence or unreasonably unsafe actions of another person, such as another driver, employer, a manufacturer, your landlord, or some other person or organization who owes you a duty of standard or ordinary care. Depending on the circumstances of your case, you may be able to seek compensation for your past and future medical expenses, past and future pain and suffering, lost wages, and loss of future earning capacity. Your loved ones may also have a claim even though they were not physically involved in accident.
